About the Role
Guild is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Engineer to help protect the company’s cloud infrastructure, applications, and security operations. This role focuses on cloud security, application security, compliance, threat modeling, and securing emerging AI-powered technologies while working closely with engineering teams across the organization.
The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and has strong experience securing cloud-native environments and modern software development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify security risks and develop long-term mitigation strategies
- Partner with engineering teams to improve application security practices
- Support remediation efforts related to security testing and code analysis findings
- Design and implement security architectures within AWS environments
- Develop security controls for cloud-based and AI-driven systems
- Conduct threat modeling and security assessments
- Manage and optimize security monitoring and protection platforms
- Support compliance initiatives and audit requirements
- Assist with incident response and security investigations
- Participate in security on-call rotations
- Promote security best practices throughout the organization
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of security engineering experience
- Strong cloud security and application security knowledge
- Experience with secure software development practices
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred
- Experience securing AI, machine learning, or large language model environments
- Knowledge of container security and modern infrastructure security practices
- AWS certifications
- Experience with cloud-native security tools and frameworks
Compensation
- Salary range: $150,000 – $180,000 per year
- Equity/stock option opportunities
